Well, we are coming up on one year since Led Zeppelin took the stage (below) in London, at The 02 Arena, on December 10th, 2007,  for the one off show, as a tribute to Ahmet Ertegün, one of the co-founders of Atlantic Records.

As I am one the world’s biggest Led Zeppelin fans, I have to say, personally speaking, that it was one of the most exciting things that has happened in the last few years.

I still think that they far exceeded any expectations and anything that they have done (as a group) since the late, great drummer, John Bonham passed on in 1980. John Bonham’s Grave

This leaves me wondering, what is to come?

Will Led Zeppelin go for it, one more time?

  1. Yes, almost a year has gone by.. The buzz in the music industry was on fire this time last year.. Will they or won’t they was the big question that was on everyone’s mind at the end of 2007.. Sadly, it looks like a “won’t they” answer.. No words, nothing has been mentioned about a tour.. And you know, I guess that is how it should be. Let the legend continue for those who can only dream and for those who can reminisce, reflect in joy of those memories of “yeah, I was there”.. :)

  2. LdyBelle,
Wasn’t it so cool the day after the show?
    I was on a high for a good month, I think :)

Last night, I watched them do Kashmir (see above link) and was still, so blown away.

If you put it on and close your eyes, you would not have known that the performance was less then a year old; to me, that speaks volumes about their performance.
In fact, I think that is the best live version of that song, that I have ever heard from Zeppelin; of course minus some of John’s “great” drum fills. Nonetheless, Jason was outstanding; if you watch his drumming in it, the drumming was excellent!

Yes, I have not heard anything either, about a tour, but I would not be surprised if there is some talk behind close doors; we shall see :)

    Let’s keep our fingers crossed.

Yes! I know! Close your eyes and you feel it… Awesome!!! I’m very happy to have those moments captured and to dream :)

  4. Was high? LOL

I am still high, as you can see LOL
    Hence the post :)

A Zep head to the end! Did you see my post on Bonzo?

Rock on LdyBelle! , Rock on!

  5. The 02 show started out a little slow; nerves perhaps, but they really picked it up, BIG TIME

The Song Remains The Same (the song) was done great as well, that night.

    Jason was spectacular!

His pop would have been extremely proud I’m sure.
