Wow!
I wonder if Congress is going to give 25 billion to The Big 3?
Is it good to give them the money, or is it better to let them do a bankruptcy, then reorganize?
I see it from both sides…Any thoughts?

    Resqr,

It is hard to imagine that this CEO (Ford, I think?) would work for $1 without having some other motives.

After seeing them fly in on Lear Jets, it is hard to imagine that they are sincerely concerned about the common workers.

You do raise a great point, why don't they offer to throw some of their personal wealth at the problem, instead of asking for the taxpayer's money? They could certainly sell those jets

to raise some funds, couldn't they?

I don't know much about their stock options, or the value of them, however, there must be some other incentives; what do you think?

By the way, I do not have the numbers, off hand, however, I have heard that these companies already have billions of dollars, in debt; which, in the end, implies imminent failure.

I just see bankruptcy as the most viable, and realistic idea; also, it sends a message that if your company fails, you "will not" be bailed out.

I say, if The Feds bail these three companies out, then we should possibly send a strong message to The Federal Government, that this is enough!
