This is an incredible live version of Achilles Last Stand, from Zeppelin’s, 1979, Knebworth Concert; which, sadly, would be their last performance, prior to the death of their drummer, John Bonham.

Enjoy!

John Bonham was a true master (freak of nature) on drums.
This is about 3/4′s of Moby Dick from Zeppelin’s famous, Royal Albert Hall performance in 1970.

I think that Bonham’s drum solo is completely amazing.

Enjoy!

Here is a very nice, and very rare, live Zeppelin performance of Babe I’m Gonna Leave You.

Enjoy!

I believe that this is one of only two times that they performed Babe I’m Going to Leave You live. Also, I believe this performance is from their very first tour, which was in Scandinavia (Led Zeppelin Scandinavian Tour), and lasted ten days, under the name of The New Yardbirds; which was a Yardbirds contractual agreement being fulfilled. The tour went so well, and surpassed anything that the original Yardbirds could have imagined, that the band collectively decided to drop The Yardbirds name and come up with a new name; hence the incarnation of Led Zeppelin.

Well, we are coming up on one year since Led Zeppelin took the stage (below) in London, at The 02 Arena, on December 10th, 2007,  for the one off show, as a tribute to Ahmet Ertegün, one of the co-founders of Atlantic Records.

As one the world’s biggest Led Zeppelin fans, I have to say, that it was one of the most exciting things that has happened in the last few years.

I think they far exceeded any expectations, and anything that they have done (as a group) since their late, great, drummer, John Bonham, passed on in 1980.

This leaves me wondering, what is to come? Will Led Zeppelin go for it, one more time?
