With every thing else going on, perhaps this story was a bit overshadowed; nonetheless, very, very sad indeed..
On February 12th, around 10 p.m., Continental Flight 3407, headed for Buffalo, N.Y., from Newark, NJ., came to crass landing, dead smack into a residential area, killing all 49 on board, and one person on the ground. http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,493325,00.htmlEvidently, ice was the colprate, and it is said that the plane fell to a nose dive of 1000 feet, within five seconds; completely unimaginable!
This is very sad, and sobering, especially after the miracle landing of US Airways Flight 1549 on The Hudson River, a few weeks ago.
I would like to send my condoloscences to all of the family members, and people affected by this sad event.
