This is an incredible live version of Achilles Last Stand, from Zeppelin’s, 1979, Knebworth Concert; which, sadly, would be their last performance, prior to the death of their drummer, John Bonham.
Enjoy!
How cool (and historical) is this? Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr, together on April 5th, at Radio City Music Hall, singing “With a little Help from My Friends”.
Please press play, kick back, and rock out to The Gods of Rock!…
John Paul Jones and Paul Gilbert, playing an instrumental version of Going to California.
John Paul Jones can really play the mandolin…
This is really nice!
This is a totally rocking version of Trampled Underfoot, live, in 1975, at Earl’s Court Arena in London.
Enjoy! –This is a really nice version of Over The Hills And Far Way, live in 1977.
Enjoy!
He’s a real nowhere man
Sitting in his nowhere land
Making all his nowhere plans for nobody
Doesn’t have a point of view
Knows not where he’s going to
Isn’t he a bit like you and me?
Nowhere Man, please listen
You don’t know what you’re missing
Nowhere Man, the world is at your command
He’s as blind as he can be
Just sees what he wants to see
Nowhere Man can you see me at all?
Nowhere Man, don’t worry
Take your time, don’t hurry
Leave it all till somebody else lends you a hand
Doesn’t have a point of view
Knows not where he’s going to
Isn’t he a bit like you and me?
Nowhere Man, please listen
You don’t know what you’re missing
Nowhere Man, the world is at your command
He’s a real Nowhere Man
Sitting in his nowhere land
Making all his nowhere plans for nobody
The Beatles, Rubber Soul, 1965
This is a really nice tribute from Robert Plant to Jimmy’s amazing guitar playing, songwriting and the overall creativity of Zeppelin as a whole.
1995 was a very good year for “real” classic rock fans: we had Page and Plant touring together, and The Beatles did their anthology project!
The absolute coolest thing about the anthology project was that Paul, Ringo, and George, were given (by Yoko Ono) John Lennon out-takes of his two songs… Real Love and Free as a Bird. With those out takes, The Beatles went into the studio and re-united with John.
That was an absolutely great tribute to John, and both songs were, and still are, excellent!
Unfortunately, The Beatles did not take to the stage, or road together; nonetheless, it was a great musical moment, with lots of great Beatles studio, out-take releases etc.
Anyone who is from the area, may remember The TV Guide?
This is another one that I have in a plastic magazine cover.

Check this out!
In ’95, when Plant and Page were touring together, they were in Philadelphia, and my friend (who worked on South Street) just happened to bump into Robert Plant, while walking down South Street; pretty cool, huh?
He knew I was a big Zeppelin fan, and was kind enough to get me a copy of The Philly Rock Guide (below, scanned), and ask Robert Plant to sign it for me.
I have it here at home, in a magazine cover. : )

These are a few things that I basically recorded off the cuff; first the rhythm, them the overdubbed guitar solos.
If you like Jazz and Blues, you may appreciate these very short takes. My friend Chaz is playing keyboards on Blues Session.
