America the Beautiful,
You’ve sold your liberty
That Christ laid out so dutiful
And gave to you and me.
The pilgrim’s feet that once trod here
For faith through Living Light
Have passed in vain this lowland weir;
You’ve shuttered out His might!
Heroes of old whose life was tried
Through freedom’s lifelong plan;
The sacrifice of He who died;
Is lost on modern man!
Patriots of our history
Decreed to mortal man
With God there is no mystery
The years our soul will span.
Grace was given freely to all
From sea to shining sea
That we might live and on Him call
To gain His liberty.
America the Beautiful,
Turn from your forlorn ways
And seek His rich and bountiful
And freely given grace.

WOW!
K, that is really good!

Yesterday, I did not have any particular Easter plans, so I decided to go walk in CC Philadelphia; once I hit Independence Hall, I just stood there, in awe, as if it were the first time I had ever been there, when in fact, I have been there hundreds of times. It was almost surreal to be honest.
As it was Easter, I could not help but think about the incredible sacrifice that Christ made for us, on the cross; and at the same time, as I was standing in front of Independence Hall, thinking of the great sacrifices that our founding fathers, and many brave men had made for us as well. Very profound indeed.
I think that you have put those similar thoughts into very nice poem…thank you!
We are inherently a nation that believed in sacrificing our current standard of living so that the next generation could survive and prosper; I pray that we can all use these current state of affairs to again re-examine our roots, and start giving back to our country, the great lives that has given to us; these morals “should” start with the leaders of this country.
Our (so-called) leaders may be willing to toss 200 hundred years of traditions away, however, I am sure that they “will not” succeed.
As Christ clearly demonstrated, it is not about self, but about sharing, and sacrificing self with others that we love; even generations that are yet to come.

Yes indeed!
And begin to see the rainbow’s end as well.
Interestingly enough, I was just telling a friend, the other day, how I have made my greatest of life achievements by channeling the anger that I felt, at that time, into positive causes.
If you are interested, the formula goes like this… E=Ac2.
If small amounts of mass can be converted into enormous amounts of energy, then think of what you can do when you get fired up.
Instead of turning the anger inward and being sick, we need to turn it outward, and as rationally as possible, use that enormous energy to make great change, when necessary.
As did our founders!

Isn’t is interesting how we are able to have more introspective thought once we clear our minds of the drivel clouding our thoughts.
